Back in 2002, the editorial team behind NEWCARNET.co.uk, led by Editor-in-Chief Massimo Pini, embarked on a project to revive interest in the Lancia brand and encourage the Fiat Group to bring the illustrious Italian marque back to the UK market from which it had withdrawn in 1994. The campaign project was imaginatively titled Bring Back Lancia.

Netro42's creative team was tasked with realising a rich and engaging website which showcased the then current model range alongside landmark models from Lancia's history, like the Lambda, Stratos and Delta Integrale.

We rejoiced when a UK return for Lancia was finally tabled for 2007-8 but unfortunately the global economic crisis put paid to that. However, we now find ourselves celebrating a partial victory as the Fiat Group's plans for its newly acquired Chrysler brand include the arrival on the UK market of not one, but two, mainstream Lancia models in 2011 - the Delta and the next-generation Ypsilon!

Bittersweet news however, as the Lancia shield has had to give way to Chrysler badging instead.

So if you're still yearning for some Lancia nostalgia, why not take a look around our time capsule website Bring Back Lancia - to learn more about this great Italian carmaker. And if you fancy yourself as one of the Lancia cognoscenti, there's an interactive Lancia Quiz and a Lancia Car Trumps® game to test your knowledge.
